PICK of the Month
A piece of nature, of dreams, of candies, of the wind and the moon… pick ans exquisite lighting sculpture from SERIP, each one is a knockout.
Introduced by Portugal-based lighting manufacturer Serip was definitely one of the highlights of Maison & Objet 2016. Serip was born in 1961 and now with more than 50 years of experience, the family-owned company continues the tradition of developing handmade lighting sculptures (in Lisbon) by some of the finest artisans. Part of the Maison & Objet 2016 range, the four stunners featured here highlight Serip’s design concept – nature-inspired organic shapes. The Bijout collection is inspired by dreams and candies. The delicate glasses are designed to simulate suspended candies in contrast with the compact and condensed look of the branches. The Wind collection looks like a free spirit, designed like random branches dancing in the wind. Totally made in bronze, the heavy sculptures disperse shadows and light all around, reproduction different patterns in walls and ceilings. The Glamour collection emulates trees decorated with colourful icicles. The new wall lights also permit the user to design and stretch trees with glasses through walls. The Icarus collection was designed to look like a fountain of frozen light growing from the ceiling. Conceived specifically with LED, the light shines directly inside of the handmade glass that feels like wings of light coming out of the-central branch. Serip is exclusively available through ST Unicom Pvt Ltd in India.
