Constructing Dreams with Architecture discipline

Founded by Akshat Bhatt in 2007, Architecture Discipline is a multi-disciplinary architecture practise based in New Delhi, India.

The firm’s work has been critically acclaimed in India: multiple Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) Awards, an NDTV DAA Architect of the Year Award (2013); citations from Alliance Francaise (2012), Architectural Digest India (2015), and the National Gallery of Modern Art (2015); and a felicitation by the Government of India (2015).

Architecture Discipline’s work highlights the emergence of an architectural expression that is contemporary, yet rooted in a critical understanding of regionalism. The outcome of every commission is determined by a series of design processes, from full-scale mock-ups to long-term material investigations, which strive to develop programmatic & technical flexibility. As a result, all buildings are integrated—from the conceptual framework to tactile experience. The studio is engaged in the design of building typologies such as town halls, hotels, schools, offices, residences, and the public realm through installations.

Architecture Discipline encourages a collaborative, cross-disciplinary workplace environment to foster creativity, dialogue, and engagement. The studio comprises a small team of architects, urban designers, and creatives, led by Principal Architect Akshat Bhatt.

Over the years, the studio has won 40+ international and national awards and accolades and has been covered in 190+ magazines, journals, and newspapers globally. Principal Architect Akshat Bhatt is actively involved in representing the studio’s design philosophy and processes through discourse, at various architecture and design events.
