Golden Resistance LED Wallcovering

The Golden Resistance design from the Conductivity collection is a conceptual design visually translating the inexplicable phenomenon of flowing electricity into an astonishing cascade of light particles.

The use of LEDs echoes the interaction of electrons at the subatomic level, taking advantage of the way electricity varies in intensity to create the illusion of energy moving, when in fact it is always still. It makes for an elegant and opulent wallcovering option that incorporates the use of Swarovski crystal and embedded LED lights to create a spectacular stand-out wall installation. Once the lights are off, the texture of the linen canvas enriched with lavish gold leaf application takes centre stage providing a tangible luxury feel to the environment.

Meystyle Conductivity Golden Resistance Wallpaper
Meystyle Conductivity Golden Resistance Wallpaper with Swarovski Crystals

The Conductivity collection by Meystyle is a celebration of the ubiquitous yet mysterious power of electricity. Simple geometric elements like the line and the circle are used to express the beauty of the natural world in its most essential form.

The beauty of Meystyle is that the LEDs are fully integrated into the wallpaper without adding any thickness to the material so that it can be hung like any traditional wall covering with only the added requirement of an electrical socket. The LEDs have an estimated operating life of 50 000 hours at 20mA, 25°C. This is equivalent to 5.7 years of constant use or 11.4 years with the LEDs on for 12 hrs per day.

Meystyle is a London-based design company specialising in LED wallpapers. An exclusive technology pioneered by them in 2004. They craft each roll of wallpaper by hand with the mission to turn any wall into a unique visual experience.
