Masiero Honice -Designed for Versatility

The Honice lights by Masiero from their Dimore Collection is designed by Oriano Favaretto. It has a square metal frame, vertically and horizontally arranged natural onyx diffusers. The diffusers are of different sizes and patterns and are arranged in such a way that it makes each lighting fixture a one-of-a-kind piece of art. 

The design is part of a group of lights allowing you to create versatile lighting in a larger space or you can use just a single piece to create a statement. The collection comprises of hanging lamps available in 3 different lengths and 2 wall lamps.

A Perfect Blend of Design – Seema & Zarir Mullan

Seema Puri & Zarir Mullan have both completed their Government Diploma in Architecture from Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture, Mumbai. They set up their practice, Seema Puri & Zarir Mullan Architects & Interior Designers, in 1994 after gaining an enriching experience from mentors like Hafeez Contractor (Puri) & Talati & Panthaky (Mullan). 

Their firm offers a total design solution from conceptual drawings, designs, working drawings, costing to execution. They combine the familiar with the new and use age-old solutions in a technologically savvy structure.

Their core design allows for flexibility of program and accommodation to the environment. Their idea is to crystallise creativity and let the materials take the form of the narrative. 

They believe in that the philosophy that design should rise and mould itself from the urban fabric while yet etching itself onto it, architecture, landscape and interior design should blend perfectly so as to melt the barriers between inside and outside and have tried to achieve this in the past few years.

Modern Traditionalism with AANDH

AANDH is headed by the husband-wife duo Aamir and Hameeda. They were listed as No. 7 in the Forbes List of Interior Designers and Architects to watch out for in 2010 and are the real face behind some brilliant houses of celebrities, politicians, top bureaucrats and many others. They have designed more than 47 restaurants, cafes and bars in Hyderabad in the last couple of years. N Grill, Prost, guest house of actor Allu Arjun, More Mischief, Karachi café are few of their well-known projects.

Aamir & Hameeda interior Designers & contractors are the pioneers in the city of Hyderabad who introduced the concept of high-end and contemporary designs 10 years ago. Their interest in global and local trends in fashion, lifestyle, travel and design is reflected in their varied palette of projects. Their extensive and versatile body of work ranges from interior design of residences, corporate offices, retail stores and hospitality spaces. 

They make use of a lot of salvaged recyclable material in their various projects and reinterpret them with a quirky and contemporary design sensibility, aka – modern traditionalism. They love discovering their clients’ vision and approach each project with an open mind to create something unique. 

Aamir Sharma is a dynamic yet thoughtful designer whose work is invariably modern ‘with an eclectic twist’. He likes to describe his designs as ‘creative and playful’. Hameeda Sharma likes to deliver a project with a sense of the unexpected, but respecting her clients’ personalities. She masterminds smart yet subtly glamorous interiors. Their work is about producing contemporary classic design with transitional notes, creating serene, timeless and elegant interiors.

They have in the past decade of practice won up to 20 National and Regional Awards for Excellence in Design including the Hafele Trends Excellence Award in Interior Design in 2016 and 2017 and have won many National and Regional Awards by IIID and are known to deliver chic, refined interiors with luxurious finishes and occasional bursts of daring colour or modern geometrics. Their minimalistic, urban chic designs make them stand apart in the residential and retail space design. Their work has appeared and published on the cover pages of many publications like Architectural Digest, Inside Outside, Houzz, India Today, etc. and their projects have also been published in many coffee table books.

Romero Britto Artwork “Hug Too” from Goebel

Vitality, optimism and colourfulness are the characteristics of the Brazilian-born artist Romero Britto. The sculpture with his famous theme “Hug Too” is made of the finest porcelain in the traditional workshop Goebel. Each sculpture is a hand-painted unique piece.

With its multi-coloured cheerful pictures and sculptures the Brazilian artist, born in 1963, filled the lives of many of his collectors with joy and hope. Celebrities such as Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi may be included in the list of Romero Britto’s customers, as well as actors and the Kennedy clan or Barack Obama. No wonder, that the works of the pop art artist are directly connected with the pioneers of this style, like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.

Pop art developed in the early 60s as a counterpoint to the abstract expressionism of the postwar period and made use of elements of everyday life and the simple language of comics. The everyday life objects are collected into artworks.

With black-framed color surfaces Romero Britto stylized image subjects to precise figures which live without the illusion of depth or plasticity by its colourfulness and direct appeal to the emotions of the viewer. He designed color surfaces with geometrical patterns such as lines, circles and hatchings. So they retained the characteristics of a comic strip and told every viewer fantastic stories.

Pop Artist Romero Britto uses vibrant colours and bold patterns as a visual language of hope and happiness. He has been credited with the largest public art installation in Hyde Park history and exhibited at the Louvre Museum – an art that appeals to all!
