The Canyon Side table by Ginger & Jagger

The Canyon Side Table is a keepsake of the enigmatic forces of Nature. Canyons are formed either by the movement of water or wind, or by the stillness of weathering.

This side table is carved from a stone block, and the boundaries are either angular or curved. The porous texture of the Travertine breathes on the surface of the top and sides. And in its core, the gold leaf is hand gilded in the stone. The Canyon encloses a purposeful materiality of nature’s wonders. The material has its body in Romano Travertine in natural finishing, details in Gold Leaf in antique finishing.

Launched in Europe in 2012, Ginger & Jagger is a product design brand that prides itself on creating handcrafted high-end contemporary products inspired by Nature. Designed and produced in Porto, land of craftsmen and age-old tradition, Ginger & Jagger’s Earth to Earth collection is an evocative poetic realm, where Nature’s sculptural shapes are eternalized through handcraft, with unique artisanal techniques and an outstanding blend of superb materials such as brass, copper, exotic woods and marble.

The designers compass is kept by an uncompromising desire for creative innovation balanced with the integrity of the materials, the artisanal techniques employed and the brands very own narrative element. The artisanal techniques availed range from brass casting, wood and marble marquetry, hand hammered metals and hand sculpted marble.

Serip launched spectacular Voa LED lights

Serip recently launched Voa collection of LED lights at the prestigious Salone Del Mobile 2019 edition. We will be focussing in details about this collection and its various aspects in this blog.

Serip spectacular LED light, Crystal light
Voa LED lights

The collection VOA is inspired by Portuguese soul and the dramatic play of shadows and lights. The concept of design is based on the barn swallow also known as (Hirundo rustica) is the most widespread species of swallow in the world. It is a distinctive passerine bird with blue upperparts and a long, deeply forked tail. This amazing bird has been presented as a spectacular ballets where they paint the skies like ballerinas. Their pipe moulded bodies are likewise a Portuguese symbol, which deciphers our spirit in developments and shapes. The unfindable designs that they perform enable this solitary accumulation to make wonderful visual arrangements. Either in suspension or standing on the walls, they create a dramatic game of shadows and light. Also, they can stay aligned, side by side, in an extreme organic and sharp textured tree branch creating extraordinary contrasts with the smooth and fluid shapes of their bodies.

Voa lights in a concept shot

The collection is ideal for any orientation and composition presenting a dynamic game s of shadows and light for exemplary and contemporary interiors. The lights are also ideal for hospitality ventures.

Trio Voa LED lights

Intricately crafted in glass and bronze the LED lighting is sure to skip a beat in our hearts.  Follow our blog to know more about latest collection from the brand.

Bright and modern mid-century makeover

The mid-century modern day was quite popular in the 1950s and still can’t seem to leave– in light of current circumstances. Characterized by straightforward structures, natural impacts, high usefulness, and negligible ornamentation, the style has an evidently ageless intrigue. Additionally, with a couple of tweaks, you can without much of a stretch imbue your interiors with a mid-century current vibe.

decorative furniture

Before you begin with your changes, read underneath our take that will take you back in time (and you won’t have any desire to return).

Laid back look Create the laid back look with chaise, simple centre table, and abstract media art infusing the airy space with nods to traditional mid-century modern style.

Creating high saturation  A bounty of shading, surface, and pattern were grounded in a contemporary interpretation of the mid-century present day aesthetic.

In love with the shades of blue  In this drawing room, the sofa is upholstered in a blue fabric, the old style armchairs creates a cool symmetry with the carpet beneath, the resin-top tables with matching wooden work doors creates a lovely synchronisation of colour play. The artwork hung on the wall with inclusion of greenery is balancing the excess blue in this living room.

Accessorize it well It’s all in the accessorizing. For stylish touches, we tend to gravitate toward things we are passionate about and items we use day to day—leave out only what you need. The wall plate here with faces creates a unique look on top of this vintage console adding a rustic look.

Subtle glamour In this colourful house the designer keeps the cloudy skies outdoors by infusing the home with bold pops of color, favoring shades of yellow and muted pink. The seating area features two 1960s armchairs and lots of greeneries.

Hope you enjoyed the bright and modern mid-century makeover tips which builds your home from a mere house. The style is timeless and embarking in its glory.

Weave your magic around neutrals

A noteworthy part of interior designing is having the capacity to show your own style through your home decor. It is unfortunate, that neutral hues have gotten an awful notoriety among specific circles as being “exhausting,” “developer evaluation,” and “conventional.” Neutral colours are a basic component of any fruitful home interiors for various reasons, not the least of which is their capacity to help any style and interiors. Let’s see in this blog.

Layer it up
There’s a knack to getting a purposeful-looking, richly layered interior, but using neutrals makes it much easier. The interiors above has subtle touch of richness with the lighting wall arts and colourful cushions in earthen tones.  Choose artworks in coordinating or complementary colors, and don’t be afraid to go large with furniture and accessories. As long as they’re in proportion with your room, fewer larger pieces often give a better effect than lots of smaller ones if you’re after a streamlined, classic look.

Flaunt your architectural elements
In spite of the fact that they are adaptable and proper (and vital) for any style of interiors, neutral hues work especially well in contemporary interiors. This is on the grounds that neutral hues permit incredible architectural components in present day configuration to turn into the centre and be the centre of attraction (rather than bold hues removing that concentration from architecture).

Include unique arts
The benefit of neutral shade is that you can play with its subdued texture. Include unique colourful arts to break the coldness we fear a neutral shade would create rather play with it.

Mix and match
The best part about interiors in neutrals is a great colour set to mix and match. Just the way the above interior shows a strong connect between the rugs, side table and cushions.

Go bold

Neutrals can be bold too. Work your magic around neutrals as they are the best versatile hues you can ever imagine in your interiors. Combine it with dark earthy tones just like the image above to get that luxe effect.

The MD of S.T.Unicom Mr. Navin Kanodia says “There are umpteen number of reasons to use neutral hues for interiors and being an interior stylist myself I can only see versatility, playfulness and immense potential in neutral hues for interiors.”
